Tornado watch ended for Sask. communities

Environment Canada has ended its tornado watch and warnings for all Saskatchewan communities Sunday.

Earlier in the day it wastracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado.

As of 1:40 a.m. CST there is a tornado watch issued for:

• Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain, Sask.
• Melfort,Tisdale,Nipawin, Carrot River, Sask.
• Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, Foam Lake, Sask.

The areasabout 150 kilometres east of Saskatoon were under a tornado warning at about noon on Sunday.

The following communities were being warned about the possible "dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation."The warnings havesince ended for:

• RM of Lake Lenore, including St. Brieux, Sask.
• RM of Pleasantdale, including Naicam and Pleasantdale, Sask.
• RM of St. Peter including Muenster and Lake Lenore, Sask.
• RM of Spalding, including Spalding, Sask.

There is also a risk of "damaging winds, large hail, and locally intense rainfall." Environment Canada's automated warnings suggests peopletake cover if threatening weather approaches.
