People in Saskatchewan might be getting sick of the snow, freeze, melt, snow, freeze cycle, but according to Environment Canada, it's normal.

Saskatchewan is affected by two air masses right now--warm air coming from the Pacific regionand cold aircoming from the Arctic region.

According to Environment Canada meteorologist John Paul Craig, it's causing warm weather, snow, andfrigid temperatures all in the same week.

"We get that warm air swinging in and that cold air swinging back in. We get a huge fluctuation in temperatures here on the prairies because of those two air masses and because they battle out here in Saskatchewan," he told Saskatoon Morning host, Leisha Grebinski.

Craigalso said that Saskatoon's snowfall has been just around average this year.

For some Saskatonians, normal as it is, the fluctuating weather is annoying.

"My car is always dirty, so it's kind of sucky that way.You can't get used to the weather, because it was more consistent winters back," Fiona Akampasaid.

Jenna Hawthorne said cold weather and lots of snow is par for the course living in Saskatchewan.

"My car was buried, so I had a lot of fun getting it out. I haven'tdriven it for a couple of days because I've been walking because it's been so nice out," Hawthorne said. "You kind of choose to live here, so you kind of got to deal with it."
