Why is it important to remember the First World War?

This week marks the start of the First World War 100 years ago. About 61,000 Canadians were killed overseas and 172,000 were wounded.

This week marks the start of the First World War 100 years ago.About 61,000 Canadians were killed overseas and 172,000 were wounded.

It was called the war to end all wars and historians say Canada gained a stronger identity because of it.
