Bear found shot and killed in New Sudbury backyard

Greater Sudbury Policefound a bear shot to death in a backyard inthe Montrose area of New Sudbury on Saturday.

The bear's carcasshas been removed.

Investigators believe the bear was shotat a different,unknown location and then died in the backyardwhere it was found.

They were called to the scene after receiving a complaint.

Police remind the public that discharging a firearm within city limits is against the law and may result in charges.
