Woman rushed to hospital with 'serious' injuries after Lasalle crash: Sudbury Police

An elderly woman was sent to hospital with what are described as serious injuries after a crash on Lasalle Boulevard in New Sudbury. Sudbury Police say the woman got out of her vehicle at a red light and was struck by another car.

Police have reopened asection of Lasalle Boulevard in New Sudbury following a crash that sent an elderly woman to hospital, with what are described as serious injuries.

Greater Sudbury Police saidit happened on Lasalle at theRideau Street intersection just before 11:30 a.m.

A woman was out of her vehicle at a red light when she was hit by another car.

At the time westbound traffic had been backed up as police redirected traffic around the scene.

Police reopened the lanes around 1:00 p.m.
