Laurentian students throw pies to raise money

Its not often you have a chance to throw a whipped cream pie at a professor, but Laurentian University students in Sudbury got that chance.

Funds going to Medlife in support of sponsor in Peru

On Tuesday, students were able to purchase $3 whipped cream pies to throw at their professors. The money will be used to help support a sponsor in Peru through Medlife. (Jenifer Norwell/CBC)
11 brave professors and lab techs from Laurentian University lined up to get a cream pie in the face and for only three dollars, you could take your pick of the victims.

Its not often you have a chance to throw a whipped cream pie at a professor, but Laurentian University students in Sudbury got that chance.

The Medlife LU Pie Your Prof event took place on Tuesday.

Medlife is an international group that provides medicine, education and development in impoverished communities. The proceeds from the Sudbury event will help a young sponsor in Peru named Gino.
