Ontario Northland worker killed in industrial accident at North Bay rail yard

A worker with Ontario Northland was killed in an industrial accident at a rail yard in North Bay, Ont., on Tuesday, say police.

Transport Canada and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario are investigating the death

A worker with Ontario Northland was killed in an industrial accident at a rail yard in North Bay, Ont., on Tuesday, say police.

In an email to CBC News, North Bay policespokesperson David Woolley said the person was found dead at the scene at the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission's rail yard.

"As there are ongoing investigations by Transport Canada and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario, we cannot provide additional details at this time," Woolley said.

In an email to CBC News, Ontario Northland spokesperson Rebecca McGlynn said, "Our hearts go out to the friends, family and fellow members of our Ontario Northland team following this tragedy."

McGlynn added that the company could not provide additional information abut the accident at this time because of ongoing investigations.
