Customized tractors plow their way through Sudbury's snow

Snowed in? Who you gonna call? Simon Graham is hoping you'll call Snow Squad. It's a new snow removal company in Sudbury and Simon is one of the owners. Markus Schwabe met up with Simon to find out more about it.

A new business is using tractors customized with specialized equipment to tackle Sudbury's snowbanks.

"On the back [of the tractor] we have a big inverted snow plow ... coated with Teflon tips," said Simon Graham, one of the owners of thecompanyknown asSnowsquad.

"So, if it is on interlock or pavement ...it is a lot more gentle then a plow would be."

Snowsquadhas purchased five tractors this year and hope to expand in the future, said Graham.

The customized tractors have been used in Ontario for decades, but hasn't made its way north until now, he added.
