Woman hit by vehicle on Ste. Anne Road

A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Ste. Anne Road at Elgin Street, Greater Sudbury Police say.

A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Ste.AnneRoad at Elgin Street, Greater Sudbury Police say.

The woman's injures were not life-threatening.

A woman who lives in an adjacent seniors'complex saidthe area has been dark since road construction has been taking place.

Suzanne Pleau saida light standard had been taken down for work to be done.She saidthere is a motion-activated light but it doesn't stay on.

A 58-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a grader just a block away on the same street in September.
That accident took place during the day.
