Ashley Madison users top 7,000 in Thunder Bay

It appears that thousands of people across northwestern Ontario are interested in having an affair, if you judge by the number of users of theAshley Madison infidelity website.

Data obtained by CBC News shows birthdates, what community the person lives in, postal codes and some names and addresses of users of the online site.

The data set has 10,500 profiles listed for northwestern Ontario. About 7,075 of those profiles list Thunder Bay as the community the user resides in. That figure works out to roughly six percent of the city's total population.

Nearly half of the users are the P7A and P7B areas, which is within Thunder Bay, north of the McIntyre River and Harbour Expressway.

A number of communities across the region are also represented on the site.

Geraldton has the most profiles per capital, with approximately 1350 profiles, or about 25 percent of the Greenstonepopulation.

Other communities profiled include:

• Dryden 900 members
• Kenora, 800 members
• Fort Frances, 400 members
• Atikokan 54 members

Ashley Madison has approximately 30 million members worldwide.
