Buster's BBQ, Highway 17 landmark, destroyed by fire

The well-known Buster's BBQ on Highway 17 in Vermilion Bay is now in ruins.

A Northwestern Ontario landmark has been destroyed by fire.

The well-known Buster's BBQ on Highway 17 in Vermilion Bay is now in ruins.

Dryden OPP say officers attended the fire overnight along with the Machin Fire Department.

According to staff at the Vermilion Bay municipal office, firefighters were still at the scene through the morning.

Police say the fire is under investigation.

The restaurant's websitenotedthe location was already closed for the winter, and the operators who also market a line of Buster's BBQ sauce are at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
