84-year-old Toronto man charged with stunt driving

An octogenarian Toronto resident has been charged with stunt driving after he was allegedly caught driving more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit in cottage country this past weekend.

An octogenarian Toronto resident has been charged with stunt driving, after he was allegedly caught driving more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit in cottage country this past weekend.

The Ontario Provincial Police say that a silver Cadillac was clocked going 135 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 in the Township of Minden Hills.

Police say the man's vehicle has been impounded for a week and his driver's licence has been suspended for the same period of time.

The 84-year-old accused is due to appear in a Minden, Ont., provincial offences court in October.
