Blue Jays raise single-game ticket prices by $2

The price of single-game Toronto Blue Jays tickets is going up by a toonie, the first such increase in five years. Premium and regular games are affected, excluding the team's Club and In the Action seats.

The price of single-game Blue Jays tickets is going up by a toonie.

The team announced Tuesday that it will raise prices for the first time in five years.

A news release says the change in prices affects premium and regular games, excluding its Club and In the Action seats.

Toronto's home opener is April 13 against theTampa Bay Rays.

The BlueJays enter the 2015season with the longest active playoff drought in all of Major League Baseball. They inherited the title from the Kansas City Royals, who finally made it to the playoffs last fall for the first time in nearly three decades.

Toronto last played in the post-seasonin 1993, the year the Jays won their second World Series title.
