They arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. The blazeeventually reached three-alarm status which resulted in 32 fire trucks being sent to the scene, according to Toronto Fire.

Toronto fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire at a home in Torontos Beaches neighbourhood. The fire's origins are still under investigation. CBCs Lane Harrison has the latest.

No other injuries were reported and all five peoplewithin the heavily damaged home got out safely, Darling said. A total of four other people were forced to leave the adjacent properties.

Neighbours said it appeared the fire broke out on the main floor of the home and spread quickly, according to Darling.

An electric vehicle was also damaged by the fire. Darling said it doesn't appear the vehicle had anything to do with how the blaze started, but the fire's origins are still under investigation.
