Police ID man, 28, killed in Scarborough shooting

A 28-year-old man has died after he was shot in Scarborough Saturday night, Toronto police say.

A 28-year-oldman has died after he was shot in Scarborough Saturday night, Toronto police say.

Duty Insp. Dan Pravica said at approximately 10:20p.m., officerswere called to a gas station in the area of Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road for reports of gunshots. Upon arriving, they located a man with gunshot wounds.

The suspects had fired several shots into the victim's car before fleeing the scene, police said in a news release Sunday.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, the newsrelease said.

Police have identified the victim as Sulakshan Selvasingam of Pickering.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
