Shooting near Keele and Lawrence leaves man critical

Police responded to a pair of shootings last night: one near Yonge-Dundas Square and another near Keele Street and Lawrence.

Separate shooting near Yonge-Dundas Square sends man to hospital

Two men were wounded in theKeeleStreet and Lawrence Avenue West area last night when a car was sprayed with gunfire.

The shooting happened at around 11 p.m. in the rear parking lot of an apartment building onFlamboroughDrive.Police say two male victims were sitting in a carwhen a suspect approached and began shooting into the vehicle.

The victims eachsuffered multiple gunshot wounds and weretaken to hospital. One man is in life-threatening condition, the other is listed in serious condition.

Witnesses told police they saw a dark-coloured SUV heading northbound onKeeleStreet after the shooting.. Police have released no information about possible suspects.

Man shot near Yonge-DundasSquare

In a separate shooting, aman was shoton Yonge Street justnorth of Yonge-Dundas Square after a fight between two groups of people inside arestaurant continued outside on the sidewalk.

Police say a suspect flednorthbound on Yonge after the shooting.

The victim is in hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.
