Toronto mayor home after 2nd kidney stone attack

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is back at home after a second painful kidney stone attack.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is back at home and will take the weekend to recover after a second painful kidney stone attack.

Ford went to Toronto's Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Thursday after suffering symptoms of kidney stones.

He was treated and released but had to return to hospital of Friday after the pain returned.

Ford's hospitalization meant he had to miss appointments including a meeting with the mayor of Calgary on Friday.

Adrienne Batra, spokesperson for the mayor, said in email on Friday afternoon that Ford was "released from the hospital earlier this afternoon and is home, resting."

"Mayor Ford," she said, "is taking some time to recover over the weekend."
