Terry Fox, Alan Thicke added to Canada's Walk of Fame

Some notable homegrown talent were honoured on Canada's Walk of Fame tonight.

The latest honourees include TV star (or, 'Blurred Lines' dad) Alan Thicke as well as soccer star Christine Sinclair.

It's a chance for Canadians to cheer for Canadian talent who have made a mark both here at home and around the world.

"I think we as Canadian's don't do enough of that," said Dan McGrath, organizer of Canada's Walk of Fame. "We're entirely a passive group. Celebrating Canadian successes, telling their stories to instill pride in all of us, but also to inspire the next generation."

Other inductees include actor Victor Garber, music producer Bob Enzin and human-rights advocates and brothers from Thornhill, Ont. Craig and Marc Kielburger.

Canada's renowned cancer activist and runner, Terry Fox, as well as pianist Oscar Peterson were also given the honour posthumously.

Presenters at the galaincluded past honourees Martin Short and Mike Myers.
