Olivia was the top baby name in Ontario in 2015, according to a list put out by the provincial government.

It's held that position for the last five years.

The complete top ten list is as follows:

1. Olivia

2. Emma

3. Liam

4. Benjamin

5. Noah

6. Lucas

7. Ethan

8. Charlotte

9. William

10. Ava

Charlotte and Henry are the names rising the fastest, and Tenley, Riaan and Eason are newly popular, appearing on the province'sexpanded list for the first time.

Ann Elisabeth Samson, editor of the Babycentre Canada website, said last yearthat Canadians are increasingly turning to pop culture and to the royal family for inspiration.

She said this year Canadians may also be considering the names ofextended family members when a new baby is born.

"I think we'll see a rise in the names of our grandparents," Samson said, who pointed out that names like Arthur, Angus, Mabel, Hazel are all growing in popularity.

Her predictions seem to be holding true: Hazel, along with other old-fashioned names like Everett, Theodore and Evelyn, are all gaining momentum.
