A 610-spot parking lot at Wilson Station isclosing permanently on December 1.

Located at 75 Billy Bishop Way, the lot is one of four at the TTC station, which is on the YongeUniversity line.

"We understand there will be some inconvenience," TTC spokesperson Stuart Green told CBC Toronto. "We've tried to give people as much time as possible to adjust."

The TTC first put up notices about the lot closure back in October, he said.

The three other Wilson Station lots have a combined capacity of nearly 1,500 spots.

Green said commuters have other options, as well.Early next year, the parking lot at Yorkdale Shopping Centre is slated to re-open, offering1,100 spaces. Around 2,800 spaces will also be created north of DownsviewStation as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension. Green added thatthe TTC provides parking at other lots and stations on the line that might work for customers in the interim.

Thelot closure is the result of a City of Toronto decision that declared the property surplus, Green said.
