$26K worth of fentanyl, pain pills seized in Windsor drug bust

Windsor police seized dozens of fentanyl patches and pain pills during a combined vehicle stop and residential search this week.

On Thursday afternoon, police pulled over a gold Dodge Journey in the area of Division and Walker roads.

Two men inside the vehicle were arrested. Police allege that one was in possession of fentanyl patches and the other was in possession of "a small quantity of methamphetamine."

Police then executed a search warrant at a nearby home on Bonita Street.

Between a search of the home and a shed on the property, police say they found:

• 96 fentanyl patches
• 63.7 g of marijuana
• 25 hydromorphone capsules
• 8percocet tablets
• 73 percocets
• 22 nabilone capsules
• 2 mL of liquid fentanyl
• 1.7 g of metamphetamine

Police estimated that the drugs seized hold a combined street value of more than $26,000.

A 53-year-old man has been charged with six drug trafficking-related charges.

A 39-year-old man faces a single charge of possession of methamphetamine.

The charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
