One person on board the train suffered minor injuries. The rest were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

In a telephone interview, OPP Sgt. Dave Rektor told CBC News thatinvestigators are now reviewing all the materials gathered from the scene on Monday.

Rektor said the train had cameras on board that he expects will be helpful for investigators.

'This is just a wake-up call'

In the wake of the crash,Vance Blackmore, the mayor of Southwest Middlesex, is calling for protective gates to be installed at the crossing to prevent future tragedies.

The mayor said the same crossing has been the scene of a similar crash in the past and it is time to make changes.

He believes the community would support seeing gates installed there.

"Until a tragedy like this happens, everybody just takes it for granted and this is just a wake-up call for people to be aware of the fact that it could have been their son, their daughter, their family member in that situation,"Blackmore told CBC News in an interview on Tuesday.
