Illegal dispensary raided in Sarnia: 3 arrested, 5 charged and 2 wanted on outstanding warrants

Sarnia police have raided an illegal dispensary and arrested three people, charged five in total already and have issued warrants for two others.

Sarnia police have raided an illegal dispensary and arrested three people, charged two others and are looking for two more.

In conjuction with the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team and the Ontario Provincial Police, search warrants were executed at the dispensary on June 6.

A residence in Corunna, Ont. was also searched at the same time.Dried cannabis, cannabis concentrates, tools, electronics, currency and weapons were seized as a result of the searches. Investigators believe the cannabis-related products are valued at more than $130,000 and that $150,000 in currency has been collected.

Pepper spray and a taser were among the weapons listed in the seizure.

Three people two from Sarnia and one from Windsor were charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of distributing and selling.

One of the three was also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Two others, not arrested during the seizure, were also charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling and property crime. Those two one from Sarnia and one from Petrolia, Ont. turned themselves in.

Sarnia police have outstanding warrants for a Windsor man and a Sarnia man, both wanted for possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.
