Essex County libraries resume regular hours Thursday

All 14 branches of the Essex County Library are set to re-open Thursday after 230 days on strike.

All 14 branches of the Essex County Library will unlock their doors and re-open Thursday morning after a 230-day strike.

Each library will resume regular operations and hours on Feb 16, but Sunday hours at Lakeshore-Toldo, Leamington and Tecumseh won't start again until Feb. 26.

  • Lakeshore Toldo Branch:1 p.m. 8 p.m.

  • McGregor Branch:5 p.m. 8 p.m.

  • Ruthven Branch:5 p.m. 8 p.m.

A grace period for waiving late fees and fines will continue until April 30, according to thepress release.
