Lakeshore is extending its special garbage pickup for flood-damaged items with another pickup scheduled for Saturday.

Windsor Disposal Service crews will be picking up debris for residents living between Renaud Line west to Manning Road and from County Road 42 north to Lake St. Clair.

Yard waste collection that had been scheduled for Saturday in areas two and three is cancelled. It will resume on Oct. 22.

Here are some tips from the town on what you need to know before putting out the material:

  • All garbage should be bagged and put out at the road.

  • White goods, such as refrigerators will not be picked up. Individuals need to call WDS at 519-944-8009 to arrange pickup.

  • Electronics or e-waste will not be picked up.

  • The pick up is free.
