London, Ont., set to host air show this fall

The long wait is over for aviation enthusiasts in southwestern Ontario, as they will finally get to see the air show return to London this fall.

On Tuesday morning, London Mayor Matt Brown announced the air show will be held this September for the first time in more than a decade.

The mayor said the city expects more than 25,000 to attend the show.

Brown revealed the return of the air show during his state of the city address on Tuesday morning.

Jim Graham, the chair of the air show's board of directors, says the event will be known as Airshow London.

The event will be held on Sept. 17 and 18.
