Man charged following fatal collision in Windsor's east end

A 61-year-old man died following a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Forest Glade Drive.

A 29-year-old Lakeshore man has been charged

A 29-year-old Lakeshore, Ont. man has been charged following a fatal vehicle collision involving a61-year-old man who died Saturday afternoon.

The accident took place at about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Forest Glade Drive when the victim, who wasdriving a minivan,was hit by a pickup truck driven by the29-year-old.

A Windsor police investigation determined that the 29-year-old was the only occupant of his vehicle.

A63-year-old female passenger in the minivan remains in hospital with criticallife-threatening injuries.

The individual driving the pickup trucksustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital where he was arrested without incident.

The 29-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Windsor police said the case remains under investigation.
