Vandals destroy 250,000 litres of Pelee Island wine in Kingsville

Investigators in the Essex County crime unit say someone tampered with the wine that was located in the 400 block of Seacliff Drive East in Kingsville.

An estimated 250,000 litres of red and white vino at the Pelee Island Winery were destroyed after being tampered with, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Investigators in the Essex County crime unit say someone tampered with the wine storage tanks located in the 400 block of SeacliffDrive East in Kingsville.

They believe the incident occurred overnight on Oct. 30.

Officials with the winery are not commenting on the incident.
