Kawartha Lakes, Ont., woman charged after vehicle hits house in Ruthven

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and no one in the residence was injured, police say.

Provincial police say they've charged a woman with careless driving after a vehicle drove into a house in the southwestern Ontario community of Ruthven.

According to police, it happened around 6:30a.m. Monday on North Talbot Road near Inman Side Road.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle, and no one in the residence was injured, police say.

The 25-year-old behind the wheel was from Kawartha Lakes located east of Lake Simcoe and northwest of Peterborough.
