Tecumseh hit with record 150 mm rainfall

The Town of Tecumseh is reporting record rainfall with up to 150 mm of rain falling overnight Wednesday and into Thursday.

The Town of Tecumseh said it was hit with record rainfall levels Thursday with up to 150 millimetres of rain recorded.

Officials confirmed the downpour, which started Wednesday night, was the highest on record.

The Essex Region Conservation Authority earlier reportedmany parts of the region got hit with65 millimetres of rainin about 12 hours.

Windsor and Tecumseh were hit particularly hard as people are experiencing severe flooding.

More rain is expected forthe region withanother 20-40 millimetresexpected Thursday.
