Windsor police investigating woman found dead in her apartment as a homicide

Patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment building on the corner of University Avenue West and McKay Avenue around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the death of a 31-year-old female was suspicious from the start but are giving no details

The sudden death of a woman found in her apartment over the weekend has been ruled a homicide, according to Windsor police.

Patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment building on the corner of University Avenue West and McKay Avenue around 10 p.m. Sunday.

A 31-year-old female from Windsor was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, police believed the woman's death was suspicious but did not alert the public.

An autopsy was performed Monday and the death has since been ruled as a homicide. Investigatorshave interviewed numerous witnesses.

It is believed the victim was in her apartment Saturday evening.
