Windsor police charge 2 after report of sexual assault, confinement

Police say that officers designated to the city centre patrol unit in the Glengarry neighbourhood were on patrol when they encountered a distraught victim" around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Two men have been arrested after a person reported being sexually assaulted and confined to a residence earlier this week in Windsor, Ont.

Officers designated to the city centre patrol unit in the Glengarry neighbourhood were on patrol when they encountered a "distraught victim" around 10 a.m. on Thursday, police said in a statement.

"Officers learned that the victim had just been sexually assaulted by two men, one of whom prevented her from leaving the residence," police said.

Police say two men were located and arrested. A 24-year-old was charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement and a 45-year-old was charged with sexual assault.
