Windsor will welcome 40 new Canadians during Canada Day ceremony

Dozens of new Canadians hailing from 13 countries around the world will take part in a citizenship ceremony at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre on July 1.

Special rates at Adventure Bay will support W.E. Care for Kids

Canada Day 2017will be especially memorable for 40 of the country's newest citizens.

Dozens of new Canadians hailing from 13 countries around the world will take part in a citizenship ceremony at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre on July 1.

"This is one of those days that will stay in people's minds for the rest of their lives,"said Mary Ellen Bernardfrom the Windsor-EssexLocal Immigration Partnership. "It's really quite a heartwarming day."

Bernard addedthe fact Windsor is celebrating its 125th anniversary and Canada its 150thwill just make the day even more special.

The centre's Adventure Bay water parkis also marking the holiday with lower prices and a partnership with W.E. Care for Kids.

Two dollars from the special admission rates of $12 for adults and $7 for kids will support the foundation's efforts to care for children in Windsor-Essex.
