Barbra Streisand hits major music milestone

Barbra Streisand has mademusic history with her new album Partners bybecomingonly artist ever to have number-one albums in each of the last six decades.

When the American superstar releasedPartnerslast week,itdebuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and went on to sell 196,000 copies its' first week.

As the title suggests, the record features classicduets with famous male vocalists such as Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder and Andrea Bocelli.

In a statement to her fans Wednesday, Streisand expressed her gratitude for their energy and support.

The 72-year-old performer'sfirst No. 1 album,People,came out 50 years agothis October.

Her other top albums include The Way We Were,A Star is Born,The Broadway Album,and Love is the Answer.
