CBC film critic Eli Glasner takes your post-Oscar questions

Where did the Oscars get it wrong?

It was an Oscar night of surprises, upsets and victories at the 88th Academy Awards.

While The Revenant didn't walk away with the BestPicture win that many (including me) were predicting, it did end LeonardoDiCaprio's Oscar drought.

Many of the Canadians competing in technical categories lost out to the vehicular carnage of Mad Max: Fury Road. One Canadian, however, capped off her second win. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's A Girl in the River gives the Pakistani director an impressive second Oscar in the Documentary Short category. Even more impressive, the movie about honour killings is leading to change in Pakistan's parliament.

Going into the show, perhaps the biggest question was how comedian, father, actor and director Chris Rock would handle the hosting duties in light of the #OscarSoWhite issue.

The answer: a full-throttle approach that had him firing zingers at Hollywood racism and even those who called for the boycott.
