Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters old and new unite on Jimmy Kimmel Live

A selfie of past and present Ghostbusters actors tweeted by Ghostbusters director Paul Feig is making the rounds on social media. Both the previous male and the new all-female casts appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night to mark Ghostbusters Day.

A selfie of past and present "ghostbusters" is making the rounds on social media.

A photo tweeted by Ghostbustersdirector Paul Feig shows the cast of the new all-female ghostbusting team, Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

They areshown side-by-side with Bill Murray, DanAykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts, who starred in the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel.

Also in the shot issinger-songwriterRay Parker Jr., who performed his Ghostbusterstheme song on the episode.

Both casts appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Liveon Wednesday night to mark Ghostbusters Day.

The original Ghostbusters was released onJune 8, 1984. It returned to more than 800 theatres across the U.S. for limited showings Wednesday night and will be shown again Sunday.

The new all-female Ghostbustersopens in theatres in July.
