Donald Trump has his foot in his mouth yet again, after sharing his idea of a "small loan" from dad with a crowd at a recent campaign event.

The bombastic billionaire turned Republican presidential hopefulwas discussing some of the hurdles he overcame on his way to the topduring a meeting withRepublican voters at atown hall event Monday in New Hampshire, when he let on that he had a little help from his father to get his business started.

"It has not been easy for me," said Trump.

"I started off in Brooklyn, my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars," Trump said, before talking about how he built up his real estate business.

Trump was answering a question from an audience member who asked whether the billionaire businessman had ever been told no by people outside his family.

Fora man who says he's worth about$10 billionUS, one million might seem like a drop in the pail.Butassuming Trump received his million dollar loan sometime around hisgraduationin 1968, the loanwould be worth about $6.8 million in today's dollars, according to the U.S. Department of Labor'sLabor Statistics CPI Inflation Calculator.

Other times Trump said he was "told no"include when his father told himnot to enter the Manhattan real estate marketand by the pessimists who believe he shouldn't run for president.

But the internet seems fixated on that million dollar loan from the bank of dad.

Some think Trumpneeds to give his head a shake.

Others say if that's hard, sign us all up.

Some want a "small loan" of their own.

It's brought out lots of emotions.
