Star Wars fans anxiously await new toys on Force Friday

Friday, Sept. 4, otherwise known online as Force Friday, marks the highly anticipated release of various licensed toys, gadgets and collectibles from the latest instalment in the sci-fi saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

For many Star Wars fans, midnight can't come soon enough.

Friday, Sept.4, otherwise known online as Force Friday, marks the highly anticipated release of various licensed toys, gadgetsand collectibles from the latest instalment in thesci-fisaga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The film will not be released intheatres until Dec.18.

The unboxing of new merchandise will be streaming live on the official Star Wars YouTube channel. It will start inAustralia and spanover 18 hoursin 15 cities worldwide.

The event has already started trending on Twitter with people using the hashtag #ForceFriday.
