Revolutionary spirit endures in Egyptian textile town

The textile manufacturing hub of Mahalla was home to some of Egypt's strongest strike actions in the years before Tahrir Square, and organizers of those demonstrations say the revolution isn't finished.

Mahalla has a sensitive political history. The industrial town was home to some of Egypts strongest strike actions for better conditions and wagesand againstonetime president Hosni Mubarak dating back to 2006.

Today, as Margaret Evans of CBC News found on a recent visit to the textile manufacturing centre, some are still feeling the zeal for social change.

The organizers of those pre-Tahrir Squaredemonstrations say last year'srevolutionisn't yet finished. They want more protests, despite polls suggesting many Egyptians are craving a return to normal life.
