Canadians stranded in Egypt: Should Ottawa pay for their flight home?

The Canadian government is putting together a plan to send charter planes to Egypt to bring Canadians out of the country, CBC News has learned.

Details are unclear, but sources told CBC that travellers would have to repay the government for the cost of their flights.

Earlier Sunday the department said Canadians "should consider leaving if their presence is not necessary."
