Princess Diana s brother, Charles Spencer , has explained why he isnt a big fan of The Crown .

The latest series of the Netflix hit drama charts the royal familys lives between 1977 and 1990, including Dianas marriage to Prince Charles .

The fourth season features scenes dramatising the royal couples marriage as well as their extra-marital affairs and Dianas bulimia.

Although many of the plot lines are based in fact, some royal commentators have been quick to deride the series for its portrayal of some of these events despite writer and creator Peter Morgans repeated defence of his right to creative freedom.

Its an issue that also bothers the Earl who believes that some people will believe everything they see in the show.
