Anna Kendrick just gave a director a big middle finger for a gross on-set power play she described in a recent interview.

During the latest episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast , the Pitch Perfect star talked about the worst feedback she ever got while making a film, recalling that a filmmaker tried to demean her improv skills in front of a huge cast of extras.

I remember a director, once, in a room full of 100 extras or something, being like, Hey, on this next one, just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something, Kendrick said. And I did it, and then the director called cut and came over and, once again, in front of 100 extras, was like, Oof, lets go back to the script!
