After spending way too much time trying to pull together an outfit , enduring a stressful two-hour commute to the office and barely managing a phoneless ride back home because my iPhone needs to be charged (again!), I happily look forward to bathtime. Submerging oneself into a warm bath has benefits beyond getting clean, including relaxing your muscles and easing away stress .

In the video above, BellaSugar reporter Kirbie Johnson cooks up a DIY bath bomb recipe that fizzes down to a soothing solution. The beauty treatment is made up of baking soda, Epsom salt, cream of tartar (yes, the food item that makes meringue firm), essential oil and food coloring. Johnson gradually stirs and mixes the wet and dry ingredients into a large bowl. Then she packs it into a plastic fillable ornament to create the round shape. Remove from container and set on a tray to dry overnight. Et voila, you've got homemade bath bombs .
