When an older, wiser man offers you love advice, take it. Especially if that older, wiser man is Bill Murray.

Murray crashed a bachelor party at a steakhouse in Charleston, South Carolina, over the Memorial Day Weekend in all his Bill Murray glory and dropped some knowledge on a group of young men celebrating their friend.

"You know how funerals are not for the dead, they're for the living? Bachelor parties are not for the groom, they're for the uncommitted," he said before giving the unmarried guests some tips on finding The One.

How can someone figure out if they've found The One? Go on a long trip with that person to a far-off destination and see if the love lasts, Murray says:

If you have someone that you think is The One, don't just sort of think in your ordinary mind, 'Okay, let's pick a date. Let's plan this and make a party and get married.' Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world, and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. And if when you come back to JFK, when you land in JFK, and you're still in love with that person, get married at the airport.

Moral of the story: A good travel companion can make for a good life companion.
