Bill O'Reilly raged against Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) on his Fox News show Tuesday, after the GOP congressman disagreed with the Fox News host on gun reform.

O'Reilly criticized the "far-left" for using the tragic mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado to promote gun control laws. While he staunchly opposes major gun reform, O'Reilly said that Congress should pass a new law requiring gun sellers to report the sale of heavy weapons, like machine guns, to the FBI . "In this age of terrorism, that law is badly needed," he said.

Chaffetz appeared on O'Reilly's show and disagreed with the Fox News host. "If you buy a fully automatic weapon, you have to get a tax certificate from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in order to do that," Chaffetz said. "You have to pass a fingerprint, background check ... You can't go out an just go and buy a bazooka as you suggest, or a fully automatic machine gun."

O'Reilly stressed that one could buy an AK-47 without the sale being reported to any federal agency. He also highlighted that, as the shooter in Colorado proved , one can buy a mass amount of ammunition on the Internet without much problem. "This just makes common sense," O'Reilly pressed. "It's not an intrusion on gun rights."

"You're not going to assign a FBI agent to every law-abiding citizen," Chaffetz shot back.

"If you buy 60,000 rounds [of ammunition], you certainly will!" O'Reilly shouted back.
