Roan, who is interviewed in the cover story of Rolling Stones October issue, described a pair of incidents that made her realize some fans needed a serious reality check, prompting her to call out the creepy behavior on social media.

The singer-songwriter told Rolling Stone about a night in August when a fan grabbed her and kissed her without consent while she was out celebrating a friends birthday.

Separately but later that same evening, Roan learned that her fathers phone number had been leaked online and people were calling him.

The back-to-back incidents were a turning point for the Hot to Go singer. Shed already had been harassed by fans shed refused to sign autographs for or take photos with, and shed had to hire security to deal with a stalker.

While the attention has been overwhelming, Roan told Rolling Stone she doesnt want her newfound fame to force her to close herself off from the world.

I dont want to be agoraphobic. Thats [how] most of my peers [feel], she told the magazine. Every fucking artist is on this page. Everyone is uncomfortable with fans. Some people just have more patience. I fucking dont.
