(Warning! Massive Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 spoilers!)

Youve got questions. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has answers (for the most part).

By the end of the second Guardians installment, most loose ends are tied up pretty nicely. We know who Star-Lords (Chris Pratt) dad is, Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) work out their problems, and the Ravagers give Yondu (Michael Rooker) the respect he deserves.

Yet, one question remains unanswered. Or it did, until now ... maybe.

Can Star-Lord still hold an infinity stone?

In the movie, we find out that Star-Lord was able to hold the infinity stone in the first Guardians because his daddy was a celestial named Ego (Kurt Russell ).

Star-Lord learns he will be immortal and have his godlike abilities as long as the light inside Ego keeps burning. Well, surprise, things dont turn out great.

(Seriously, last spoiler warning!)

After its revealed that Ego actually has a sinister plan, and was the cause of a certain heartbreak in Star-Lords past, a crazy fight ensues and the Guardians take him down.

It seems that in (supposedly) killing Ego, Star-Lord is giving up his immortality and accepting his role as a regular dude. (Tough break, dawg.) But it may not be as simple as that.

When HuffPost asked Chris Pratt if Star-Lord could still hold an infinity stone, he wasnt so sure.

Pratt initially said, That is a really good question. I dont think so. I guess not ... hes made his choice, before changing his mind.

I dont know, actually. I dont know. I tend to hold hope that, as Ego said, as long as the light lives inside the planet, I will remain immortal, and I am his DNA. I have some of his DNA because I had that genetic connection to the light. Now that Ego is dead, that celestial god is dead, I dont know. I think its still a little open. Its left slightly open-ended. It seems its revealed that Peter Quills made this choice to be mortal the rest of his life. Superman made that choice, too. You know, for like one movie.

Director James Gunn could probably help Pratt out with an answer, but as the actor previously told us , Gunn doesnt tell him shit.

If Pratt truly doesnt know, this might give us a hint at whats coming in the Avengers Infinity War movies. We can infer that Star-Lord probably wont be handling any infinity stones.

Or perhaps he just challenges the stones to dance-offs. Its worked for him before.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters now.
