A Dallas photographer says that a quick-thinking police officer saved his life amid the deadly gunfire at the Black Lives Matter protest on Thursday.

Lynn Mays, 46, told The Huffington Post about the terrifying sequence of events and the heroic actions of an unidentified cop who pushed him out of harms way.

It was the most terrifying feeling I have ever had in my life. Ever, Mays said on Friday. Im almost 50 years old and Ive been through a lot. But never have I had bullets fly past my head so close you could hear it zipping past your ear.
