Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian may have split in July , but friend of the family Jonathan Cheban says he sees the couple reconciling soon.

"I'm sure they can work it out," said Cheban in an interview with People . "There's three kids, he lives not that far from her. Once he gets this out of his system I'm hoping that it will be somewhat back to normal."

But there's one thing that Kourtney and the rest of the family can't do, if they want the two to get back together: tell Scott what to do.

"If you tell him not to, then there will be two more 18-year-olds," said Cheban, most likely in reference to the 18-year-old model Disick was spotted with a few weeks ago in New York City. "Those 18-year-olds are all in it for pictures on the beach. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything is going on."

Disick entered rehab for drugs and alcohol on Wednesday, according to an Us Weekly source. On a preview for the upcoming season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Disick was seen crying over the split .

"It's been a really hard time going from, like, having all of you guys to having nobody," said Disick. "I f**ked up. I made the worst decision I could've ever made in my life."
