When Hollywood heartthrob Kellan Lutz sat down with The Huffington Post on Wednesday, he revealed a desire sure to make his legions of fans swoon.

In the four years since his run as Emmett Cullen in the Twilight series, Lutz has had a steady stream of big-screen success, but theres a certain legendary character hes eager to play.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the animated superhero show that spawned a cult following during its early 80s run, is getting a feature film reboot and Lutz is fighting for the lead role. Lutz told HuffPost Entertainment that hes such a huge fan that when he met with the films director, McG, I actually handed him a power sword.

With so many superhero roles already taken, Lutz said he has his sights set on this one.

I auditioned for Thor. I auditioned for Captain America. Both Chrises got those. Chris Pratt is doing Guardians of the Galaxy [and] Jurassic Park. A lot of these roles are getting eaten up, he said.
